Japan issues preliminary anti-dumping ruling on cold-rolled stainless steel sheets and coils from China

On June 19, 2026, Japan's Ministry of Finance issued an announcement making an affirmative preliminary anti-dumping determination regarding cold-rolled stainless steel flat-rolled products originating from mainland China and the Taiwan region. JAH270D Hot dip galvanized steel strip,The preliminary ruling established dumping margins of 33.29% for mainland Chinese companies Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd., Guangdong Yongjin Metal Technology Co., Ltd., and non-sampled producers; 45.32% for POSCO (Zhangjiagang) Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. and other mainland Chinese producers/exporters; and a range of 3.86% to 20.71% for the products from the Taiwan region. The dumping investigation period covers January 1, 2024, to December 3, 2024, while the injury investigation period covers January 1, 2022, to December 3, 2024. The Japanese tariff codes for the products involved are 7219.31, 7219.32, 7219.33, 7219.34, 7219.35, 7219.90, 7220.20, and 7220.90.

On July 22, 2025, JAH270D Hot dip galvanized steel strip,Japan initiated an anti-dumping investigation into cold-rolled stainless steel sheets and coils originating from mainland China and Taiwan.
