Peru makes preliminary anti-dumping ruling against China

On July 8, 2025, the Commission BV/FH32 steel on Dumping, Subsidies, and the Elimination of Non Tariff Trade Barriers of the Peruvian National Agency for Competition and Intellectual Property Protection issued Announcement No. 092-2025/CDBINDECOPI in the official daily newspaper El Peruano, making an initial anti-dumping ruling on Chinese origin wire rods (Spanish: alambr ó n de acero sin alear, de bajo y alto carbono, de secci ó n y superfice lisa, y con un di á metro que var í a entre 5.5 mm y 16 mm), imposing a temporary anti-dumping duty of $64.6/ton on the products involved. The measures BV/FH32 steel will take effect from the day after the announcement and are valid for a period of Four months. The products involved are low-carbon and high carbon non alloy wire rods with diameters ranging from 5.5 to 16 millimeters and smooth surfaces and cross-sections. They are related to products under Peruvian tax codes 7213.20.00.00, 7213.91.10.00, 7213.91.90.00, and 7213.99.00.00.

On January 23, 2025, Peru initiated BV/FH32 steel an anti-dumping investigation into wire rods originating from China. The dumping investigation period of the case is from July 2023 to June 2024, and the injury investigation period is from July 2021 to June 2024.
