Among them, the NTMK steel FQ56 steel plant under EVRAZ Group saw a significant decline of 62% in shipping volume to 19000 tons, all of which were sold to the domestic market; EVRAZ West Siberian Steel Plant (ZSMK) increased by 13% to 152000 tons.
The export volume of billet increased to 147000 tons, up 11% year on year, mainly driven by the Taiwan, China market. Increase exports to Taiwan by 20% to 112000 tons; Domestic sales have also increased more than threefold, reaching 5000 tons.
The export volume of slab is about 121000 tons, a decrease of 14% compared to the previous period. Among them, EVRAZ NTMK's shipment volume was 102000 tons, a decrease of 13%, of which the shipments to Indonesia (-52%, 6000 tons), Italy (-40%, 9000 tons) and Taiwan, China (-25%, 9000 tons) dropped significantly; The shipment volume of ZSMK slab decreased by 20% to 19000 tons, all of which were exported to the Czech Republic.
According to statistical AB/FQ56 steel data, from January to April 2024, the cumulative export of EVRAZ billets was about 605000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5%; The export of slab is about 538000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 2%.
