On May 26, 2025, the Australian AB/EQ56 steel Anti Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2025/043, stating that in response to an application submitted by Chinese exporter Baowu Group Echeng Iron and Steel Co Ltd, an anti-dumping review investigation has been initiated on steel reinforcement bars with a diameter of 50 millimeters or less exported to Australia, to examine whether the variable factors related to the current anti-dumping measures should be changed. The dumping investigation period for this AB/EQ56 steel case is from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025. The Australian customs codes for the products involved are 7213.10.00.42, 7214.20.00.47, 7227.9010.10.69, 7227.990.01, 7227.990.02, 7227.990.04, 7228.310.10.70, 7228.390.0.40, and 7228.610.072. The Australian Anti Dumping Commission is expected to complete the basic factual report of this investigation no later than September 15, 2025, and submit the final ruling report to the Australian AB/EQ56 steel Minister of Industry and Science no later than October 28, 2025.
