One of the largest steel producers in the United States 37Cr4 steel, US Steel Corporation, saw a year-on-year decrease of 1.1% in steel shipments in the first quarter of 2025, to 3.76 million short tons (approximately 3.411 million tons). From January to March this year, the shipment 37Cr4 steel volume in Europe decreased by 20.1% year-on-year to 856000 short tons (approximately 776500 tons). From January to March 2025, the company reported a net loss of $116 million, compared to a net profit of $171 million for the same 37Cr4 steel period in 2024.
