According to Italian KR R/E steel equipment manufacturer Danieli's recent announcement, Vietnamese steel company Ton Dong A has placed an order for a new cold rolling mill unit to process hot-rolled raw materials.
The equipment is a dual rack reversible cold rolling mill with a designed annual production capacity of 400000 tons. It will be built in the new cold rolling plant area of Tongdongya located in southern Vietnam. After the completion of the KR R/E steel project, the total annual production capacity of cold-rolled products of the enterprise will increase to 1.2 million tons, further strengthening its market supply capacity in the fields of construction steel and household appliance materials.
It is reported that the cold rolling mill is expected to be officially put into operation by the end of 2026. In recent years, the demand for cold rolling in Vietnam has grown significantly, and local leading enterprises have continued to expand their KR R/E steel production capacity, gradually improving the level of localized processing in the industry.
