Vietnam's leading steel 51CrV4 steel mills and steel companies have raised the price of rebar by 150 Vietnamese dong/kg (approximately 5 US dollars/ton), excluding a 10% value-added tax, effective from May 9th. With the increase in rebar prices by multiple companies in the market, such as Kyoei Vietnam and Natsteel Vina, rebar prices have increased by 150 Vietnamese dong/kg; VIS Steel has raised the price of 51CrV4 steel rebar by 200 Vietnamese dong/kg. According to feedback from some traders, the price increase this time is mainly due to a slight adjustment supported by the decrease in current 51CrV4 steel market inventory.
