Italian engineering firm Danieli announced on April 10 that it has secured an order from Serbian steel pipe manufacturer Utva Silosi AD for an electric resistance welded (ERW) steel pipe production line. Currently in the design phase, the line is scheduled to commence production in the first half of 2027. JIS G 3313 SEFC390 steel strip, It will manufacture steel pipes with a maximum outer diameter of 50 mm and a maximum wall thickness of 3 mm, with a projected production speed exceeding 160 meters per minute (m/min).
According to Mysteel, the line will focus on producing high-precision products, including those for automotive applications and structural steel tubing. To ensure continuous operation, Danieli will equip the line with a double-mandrel uncoiler and a strip joining machine. JIS G 3313 SEFC390 steel strip, The welding process will utilize a latest-generation high-frequency welder and a forming unit capable of producing square and rectangular tubes in addition to round ones. The line will also integrate a non-destructive testing (NDT) system, a high-performance cutting machine, and an automatic bundling machine.
