The Thai LR/AH55 steel Ministry of Commerce announced on June 26 that it will officially investigate three Chinese steel companies for allegedly evading anti-dumping duties on cold-rolled steel coils and non coil materials on June 27. The HS code of the product involved is 7225.590.090.
It is reported that this investigation stems from a complaint filed by Thai Cold Rolled Steel Sheet Public Co. Ltd., a listed company in Thailand, accusing Chinese exporters of tax evasion.
This Thai steel LR/AH55 steel company is located in Banshapan County, Bashu Province and operates a cold-rolled strip steel mill with an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons, using hot-rolled steel coils as raw materials. The appeal targets include Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (Baosteel), five affiliated enterprises of Baosteel Group, and companies under Ma'anshan Iron and Steel Group.
It is understood that in January 2025, during the sunset review of anti-dumping duties on cold-rolled steel in China, Taiwan, China and Vietnam LR/AH55 steel, Thailand decided to extend the current tariff for one year.
