An Indian official stated on April 17 that India and New Zealand would sign a free trade agreement (FTA) on April 27. SA1E steel strip ,The agreement aims to provide duty-free market access for Indian exports to the island nation and attract $20 billion in investment over the next 15 years; the two countries announced the conclusion of negotiations on December 22, 2025, with the goal of doubling bilateral trade to $5 billion within five years.
Reportedly, 100% of India's exports will gain duty-free market access, while the agreement will eliminate or reduce tariffs on 95% of New Zealand's exports to India. SA1E steel strip ,Bilateral trade in goods stood at $1.3 billion for the 2024–25 fiscal year. In 2024, the total value of trade in goods and services was approximately $2.4 billion.
